SSR SR170TR | 2018 170cc PIT BIKE

This bike is impressive. We bought for our 11 year old son. It is his first manual shift (clutch) bike. He is growing so fast - we really liked the price point and the height/options were perfect. Any adult who gets on this bike is surprised by the power! It is really hard to kick start for a young person (compression is high). We end up having to start it for him all the time - as he is learning to use the clutch. I almost regret getting the higher hp - but my son and husband will not have it any other way. After 2 rides we have had issues with the spokes/wheelset/tires. It looks like the tubes were bunched up/folded over when originally installed. We flatted, tried to patch - but the tubes were trashed. Purchased new tubes - taking time away from riding. Make sure you have extra tubes. This is a QC thing that SSR should address. The spokes will not stay tight - and we do so before each ride. The brake/clutch handles will brake the first time the bike drops - so have extra (better ones) on hand.
